Garmin Mobile Pc 5.00.60g
Slkeranen, thanks very much for letting us know about this latest Garmin Mobile PC update. I really needed the intersection feature, but I was lazy to revert back to the previous version to correct this issue.
I just downloaded the huge (145MB) update file. It actually took surprisingly only 15 minutes via my mobile Internet connection, while parked outside on a parking lot. Upgrading went without any problem. The one slight annoyance I see now is that after typing a street name I need to press the Enter-key on my keyboard twice to go to the next screen.
Pressing the Enter-key once should suffice. This is an issue only occasionally and/or with certain street names. Kudos to Garmin for releasing the updates for Mobile PC often. It shows they constantly work on improving their product.
Hi huntsman, Garmin Mobile PC can't be installed on my PC, the installer says: 'Previous Garmin Mobile PC Installation not found! The install is going to stop.'
I just took a really quick look at the update. I noticed a couple of things.
One is that the inconsistent behaviour of having to hit the enter key on the highlighted item sometimes once and sometimes twice is not limited to just the selection of the street for the intersection you are looking for. It also happens when selecting a City (either for City search or to begin an intersection search). When selecting the city, sometimes you have to hit Enter once and sometimes twice, even though you are selecting the highlighted one in either case. But, as everyone says, it's a definite improvement. The other good news is. Did anyone notice this nice bit of cleanup? You no longer are asked if you really want to quit the program when you click the 'X' in the top right corner to exit.
I always thought that was the dumbest thing and I've reported it at least three times. Once in email on the first version and a couple times on tech support calls since then. No other program I own asks me if I really want to exit (well, except Mobile XT on my Palm ). When I click that 'X' in the upper right corner of the screen I want the thing to be gone, right now. It's sufficiently out of the way that I can't think of any way I could ever hit it by accident. Thanks to Garmin for finally listening and getting rid of that bit of silliness.ken.

Thanks Alex, Just for clarification, once the files are extracted it is the 'MAIN.msi' file that we need to run.
The Setup.exe file will check for a previous installation and fail. It took me a couple of tries to figure that out. The download doesn't include maps. I have Mapsource and half a dozen Garmin map products loaded. Is there some way I can get Mobile PC to recognize any of those maps?
I couldn't figure out how to get it to do that so there is no map display. Without detailled maps there's not much I can do with the trial.ken. Thanks Alex, I figured it out myself.
Sorry I didn't get back here quick enough to save you the typing. My first try didn't work so well.
I tried with some City Navigator stuff and Mobile PC wouldn't load it because it was locked. So I did a map with segments from Metroguide Canada which isn't locked. That worked great.
Mobile PC is sure a pretty looking program on my laptop. It almost makes me want to go out and buy something with a touch screen!
Lots of stuff to like about it. The only thing I don't like is how primitive it is working with favorites compared to my iQue 3600. It was really simple to load the waypoints from Mapsource into Mobile PC's Favorites but it can be a real nuisance doing some stuff with the Favorites once you have a bunch of them. I have 191 loaded and what a nuisance if you just want to manually scroll. No scroll bar and the keyboard doesn't work. All you can do is use the scroll buttons on the side of the screen to go a page at a time. They've added some nice routing options to the Que software since the iQue was released.
Overall it looks very nice. Thanks for the tip on how to set it up for the trial use.ken. Click to expand. Thanks for the information on the trial version. I downloaded and installed as described. Then where the 15 day trial offer comes up I got the error 'Server could not process request. Please contact customer support'. Looks like some contact needs to be made with Garmin via internet.
Garmin Mobile Pc Crack
My internet connection is working, and don't believe my firewall is blocking access as it asked permission and I gave it. Any idea what that error is? Anyone else see this?
I did notice there is no text in the user agreement, and a grayed out button to change install location. I'd like to try out the software before purchase, but uncertain how to proceed. I did try sending email to Garmin but have not heard back.
Any thoughts?
