Account Lockout Tools Windows 7 X64
I just heard about the Account Lockout tools Microsoft published a few years back and gave it a shot. My DC's are Server 08 R2, my workstation is 7 64. I first found the 'Acctinfo.dll', registered it on a DC and the new tabs were immediately available in ADUC.
Lockout Issues (Windows 7). You will see in the 'Account' tab that the account is locked out. Fresh install Windows 7 Home premium 64 bit, password lockout. A quick way to use the Account Lockout Status tool from Microsoft to diagnose the cause of an active directory account lockout.
I can register that file on my pc from any folder BUT system32. If I copy the file there, then try to register it in system32 the process fails each time.

I do not have the new tabs in my local ADUC. Then I hear about the 'acctinfo2.dll'. The supposed 'still in beta testing from 2006' and 64-bit friendly file. So I copy that to my system32 folder and was able to register it from there. However I still do not have the new lockout related tabs in ADUC. So Im wondering if anyone here has experience with this and if anyone has gotten this to work with 64-bit 7.
